We’ve had a few inquiries about when we go live again with the main purpose of this here Substack - the live show.

Remember, that our history began as a live show minutes, maybe hours, after an FC Dallas result. That meant long restless nights for some of us, especially me on the East Coast. We shifted to Monday nights as a live show, taking questions and comments, offering juicy clips and highlights, and generally making fools of ourselves.

We are coming back.

The offseason is nice. It allows players to rest up, and it allows the rest of us to make sure our cameras are functional (hint, hint, Jose) and new technology is integrated.

Amid a busy schedule, look for our first live show of the season sometime around February 17.

We’ll of course have a lot to recap - an enormous offseason of change for FC Dallas, new players and signings, hopefully some blockbuster arrivals in that group, and a general sense of optimism about the season. We WILL NOT talk about the Dallas Mavericks and the disastrous trade. But we will open up the conversation to you all, maybe with a special guest or two.

As usual, if I can be in person at games, I’ll do some live tweeting or posting over at Twitter or Bluesky. Maybe even here on Substack.

We will of course look hard at the incredible talent at North Texas Soccer Club as they prepare to defend their title.

I will do my best to bring insights and exclusive content, for free, though if you toss us some cash, I will make sure to reward our contributors.
