Match Predictions: FC Dallas at Minnesota United FC
It's a trip north for FC Dallas. How will they fare against Minnesota?
FC Dallas and Minnesota United FC will get the spotlight this evening as the weekend's final Major League Soccer game.
It promises to be a good one as both teams continue to progress during a busy season. From afar, while FC Dallas has more points, the squads don’t seem that far apart in the sense of form. Some good results, some not so good results. The key will be what FC Dallas can do to improve its defensive form as a unit.
Jesus Ferreira will start again.
It looks Alan Velasco may return to action as well.
A point would be nice. Three points would be above and beyond, but with Minnesota stealing points in Frisco in the season opener and the Loons’ mediocre form, a strong result could be a possibility.
Here is what our contributors think about FC Dallas’ chances tonight:
Ismael Belkoura: 2-1 Dallas. Upset.
Jose Carmona: 1-1.
Tommy LeBeouf: I have a bad feeling about this one. 3-1 loss for FC Dallas.
I predict a 1-1 result. I think FC Dallas comes out with a conservative plan and grows into the game, despite going down late in the first half. In the second half, FC Dallas finds a set-piece equalizer from Alan Velasco.
By the way, the weather is going to be downright nasty up there.
What do you think?
Velasco ain't even on the bench. There goes my prediction.
