broke the news that FC Dallas has been hit by the injury bug/curse again.
Geovane Jesus suffered an injury in practice earlier this week the day after receiving a call up to the Brazil U23s. He tore his ACL in his right knee. He’s out, folks. For the rest of the season. Sigh.
And then, well, look at those outs and questionable.
If Ema Twumasi can’t go, who starts at right back? Do you go with an experiment? Does Ibeagha get a nod there? How about Sam Junqua? Can the team call back Collin Smith or has that ship sailed? Does Herbert Endelay get another chance at that spot?
No doubt, the coaching staff is going to be sweating it up to match day on Saturday.
Missing Alan Velasco is another death toll for a team that can’t afford any loss in the offensive department with the way they have struggled. Do we finally see Eugene Ansah get his first start in that position?
Add in Bernard Kamungo being out, this is not great. At least Paul Arriola is ready to go.
FC Dallas suffered a rough run of injuries early in the summer which was highly unusual for this franchise, and the pile on has only gotten worse.
With the team already fighting for that last playoff spot, the margins get super narrow as Seattle comes to town, who are by the way the 2nd place team in the West.
