Carrera and Norris Get the Call
Both homegrowns get a chance to showcase their skills with the USMNT youth setup.
With an international break looming, FC Dallas celebrated the good news that two first team players are getting call ups to their respective Youth National Team squads.
Antonio Carrera will compete for minutes in goal with the U20s in Spain.
Nolan Norris will anchor the back line with the U19s Argentina.
As usual, this continues the FC Dallas youth pipeline and may help both young players stake a case for minutes down the stretch of the season.
Here are a few tidbits from the official press release:
Carrera, 19, will join the U.S. Under-20 Men’s Youth National Team in Marbella, Spain from March 19-29 and will face France, England and Serbia U-21s. It’s the group’s final camp before the summer’s FIFA U-20 World Cup in Indonesia. The FIFA U-20 World Cup Draw will take place on March 31 in Denpasar, Indonesia.
Norris, 18, will join the U.S. U-19 Men’s Youth National Team in Buenos Aires, Argentina from March 20-28 and will face Argentina and Racing Club de Avellaneda. Norris has been a part of all six U-19 MYNT camps so far this cycle.
