Afterburn Soccer Show Is Live Tonight
Pull up a chair, put on your headphones, and talk FC Dallas with us. We'll get prepped for a weekend of FC Dallas soccer now that Leagues Cup is put to bed.
What a weird couple of weeks it was.
Plenty of soccer but not FC Dallas soccer after they lost in PKs to eventual Leagues Cup winner Inter Miami. You wonder what might have been, and while Nashville put on a strong performance, FC Dallas was still unlucky not to be able to advance. Next time?
However, FC Dallas welcomes Austin FC on Saturday. It’s going to be a fun one. You have to give the edge to the home side, and well, Austin has not looked good lately. It will be emotional though, and both teams know it is time to start winning to clamp down on postseason dreams.
North Texas meanwhile has continued their poor form. More and more, the head coaching change looks like a mistake. The team hasn’t necessarily played all that better since dismissing Javier Cano. Reinforcements have been added at a steady clip in preparation for next season, as I don’t think this team is going to be able to sneak into the postseason in their current state.
Diego Pepi, younger brother of Ricardo, is now a professional player with North Texas.
We will talk about this and more as we go live at 8 PM CST on Youtube and Facebook.
See you there?
